Cropping And Curing Hydroponic Marijuana.

After around eight to twelve weeks of ripening it’s going to be time to crop. It is crucial to harvest at the right time.
The best time to crop marijuana plants is when THC production has reached its maximum. A rough guide as to when to crop is to delay until 50%-80% of the white pistils ( hairs ) have turned dark ( sometimes brown or red ). But a better technique of deciding upon when to harvest is to wait till certain trichomes on the plant have matured. Trichomes on marijuana plants that develop a resin gland at the top are a good source of THC, and monitoring them will permit you to best judge when the plants are prepared for cropping. A better outline of cropping directions can be found here. Straight after the plants have been cropped, they deserve to be manicured ( leaves removed from the buds ), then dried and cured.
Marijuana isn’t strong shortly after crop, it’s also is oppressive and bad tasting. Drying will let a large percentage of the water in the plant dissipate quickly and curing will finish the drying process. After the plants are cut down, some of the THC is in a non-psychoactive acidic form.

Besides bettering the taste, drying and curing marijuana will convert the non-psychoactive acidic compounds into psychoactive THC. A better outline of drying and curing directions can be found here. If your marijuana is going to be stored for any period of time, it should be put in an air tight container and be stored somewhere that’s dark, dry, and cool. Remember that light, air, and heat are the things to steer clear of. They may degrade THC and make marijuana less strong.
